The client asked for a highly insulated, inexpensive, room in her garden in which to write and paint, away from the hubbub of the main house. Within the same volume a storage area for her garden furniture over the winter months.

The design is a repetition of elements made of waterproof plywood on the outside and rough weatherboard on the inside filled with insulation and a small air gap. There is underfloor heating above a thick insulation layer finished with a composite pourfloor.
